Homes that are in small town or rural communities typically rely on an on-site system to treat and disperse household liquid wastewater. But finding the right solution isn’t always simple. Things like soil type and conditions, facility use parameters, topography, vegetation, regulations and other site conditions all affect the selected type of wastewater system that is best for your family and lifestyle choices.
That’s where we come in. BioHarmony takes the guesswork out by considering every detail - including provincial regulations - to offer clear, reliable options. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident about the system that works best for your home.

If your property isn’t connected to a municipal sewer system, B.C. regulations require an approved in-ground wastewater system - often called a septic system. This systems consist of a Treatment component and a Dispersal component.
Residential wastewater systems need to be constructed, installed and maintenance according to regulations to prevent sewerage from entering above ground or aquifers (below ground) water sources.
Legislation requires that an “Approved Person” (AP) files a “Record of Sewerage system” (RSS) which are the construction drawings or plans normally called a “Filing”. After the installation occurs, the “Letter of Certification” consisting of the “As-Built” drawings, Documentation and “Maintenance Plan” are registered with the applicable Health Authority.
It might sound like a lot—but we’re here to help.
We will guide you through the step by step process to make sure your system is done correctly and meets all BC regulation standards.
