As a Canadian-owned and operated company, we have decades of experience in septic system design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair. We work with homeowners, Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioners (ROWPs), designers, engineers, contractors, developers, property managers, and other industry professionals to provide practical solutions for a wide range of residential and commercial projects.

Our Team

Barry Rumsey

President & Founder

Barry, owner and President of BioHarmony, has been working in the wastewater industry since 1994. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience, he has built his career around designing, installing, and maintaining reliable wastewater systems throughout BC.

As a ROWP-certified professional, Barry takes pride in doing things right. He works closely with clients to understand their needs, solve problems, and provide practical solutions they can rely on for years to come.



Barry is also a dedicated member of the Western Canada Onsite Wastewater Management Association – BC (WCOWMA-BC), where he served as Board President from 2021 to 2025.

Ryan Rumsey

General Manager

Ryan has been part of the BioHarmony team since 2022 and serves as General Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations while remaining actively involved in the field.

As an apprenticed ROWP, EOCP-certified operator, and trained in confined space entry, Ryan brings hands-on experience in troubleshooting, servicing, installing, and maintaining wastewater treatment and dispersal systems.



He enjoys working directly with clients, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure they feel confident in the service they receive. His combination of field experience, technical knowledge, and commitment to client service makes him an important part of the BioHarmony team.

Colleen Pearce

Office Administrator

Colleen has been an important part of the BioHarmony team since 2023, helping keep day-to-day office operations organized and running smoothly. From scheduling and client communication to coordinating with our technicians, she helps keep things moving and everyone on track.

With a strong attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving, Colleen is often the person behind the scenes making sure things get done and clients receive the support they need.



Friendly, organized, and always willing to help, Colleen is happy to answer questions, assist with requests, and point clients in the right direction.

Andrew Oakey

Senior Technician

Andrew brings a strong hands-on background in welding and the oil and gas industry, along with extensive experience working in demanding field environments. His training includes Confined Space Entry, Small Wastewater Systems, and EOCP certification.



With a practical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, Andrew plays an important role in the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of septic and wastewater systems. His combination of technical experience, industry training, and commitment to quality workmanship makes him a valuable part of the BioHarmony team.

Steve Tipper

Sales Account Manager

Steve brings more than 30 years of sales experience to the BioHarmony team, with a strong focus on building relationships and providing exceptional customer service.

He takes the time to listen, understand each client’s needs, and help find the right solution. His friendly, straightforward approach has helped him build lasting relationships with customers throughout his career.



For Steve, sales is about more than making a sale—it’s about earning trust, being reliable, and making sure clients feel supported from start to finish.
