BioCycle™ System
Experience the Difference:
Advanced Wastewater Treatment for Your Home
Our proprietary system offers your home benefits that stagnant septic tanks just can’t compete with. The BioCycle™ System is not only better for the environment, it may help increase the property value of your home while conserving water, a valuable resource.
What is a BioCycle™ System?
The BioCycle™ 5000 & 6000 series are compact, Aerated Wastewater Treatment Plants, designed to treat all household wastewater right on-site, in a four-chamber, fully self-contained unit.
How Does the BioCycle™ System Work?
Primary - Anaerobic Chamber
Step 1
All wastewater from the residence enters this chamber, where anaerobic bacteria begin the digestion process. Unlike a septic tank, treatment continues into the next chamber for further digestion.
Step 2
Secondary - Aerobic Chamber
Wastewater flows here, and aerobic (oxygen-consuming) bacteria continue digestion. An air blower diffuses air into the chamber, supplying necessary oxygen for bacterial growth.
Clarification Chamber
Step 3
Significantly clearer wastewater enters here. A sludge return system captures any remaining organic material and returns it to the primary chamber for re-treatment. This process also fosters nutrient reduction.
Disinfection Unit
Step 4
If necessary, wastewater flows through a germicidal UV disinfection unit before moving into the Dosing/Pump chamber (depending on local regulations).
Dosing/Pump Chamber
Step 5
This is the final chamber where treated effluent is stored before being periodically and automatically discharged into the field.
Why Choose a BioCycle™ System?
Increased Property Value
- Type 2 systems can reduce field size by 40% to 60% compared to Type 1.
- Type 3 systems can reduce field size by 40% to 60% compared to Type 2.
- Customizable to meet specific site requirements, maximizing land potential.
Environmentally Sound
- All grey and black wastewater is processed by naturally occurring bacteria.
- Non-treated effluent returns to the Anaerobic Chamber for further treatment, rather than sludge being pumped into the field.
- Breaks down all wastewater into clean, clear, and colourless water (still not suitable for drinking).
Trouble-Free Operations
- Equipped with an alarm panel for air, water, or power issues.
- Manages hydraulic and/or organic overload through extended aeration, activated sludge, and a fixed/suspended bacteria process.
- Preventative and maintenance programs provided by trained BioHarmony technicians.
